Footman's Shame Overshadows Y Master's Win

Young Master showed a clean set of hoofs in the first race of the season. Mr Lord could barely raise a trot, while Ms Lady was able to canter along at a respectable speed. Young Miss was disappointed in her ride, unable to go faster than a slow amble.

Young Master's win however was overshadowed by the appalling behaviour of fellow jockey Footman. It appeared that when officials approached him about his erratic ride that he had in fact been drinking. The Racing Club will be hearing the case next week, but it is rumoured that Footman will be barred from riding for the rest of this season.

Babylonian Marathon

Runners lined up this morning for the annual Babylonian Marathon. Longer than the traditional marathon (26 miles) this marathon lasts for 70 miles. Despite the distance runners are confident of being able to reach the finish line by the time the street lights are turned on this evening.
